Police are on the scene of a ram-raid burglary which occurred in Niddrie earlier this morning.
The incident occurred at a Keilor Road clothing shop at 3.40am when a black Mitsubishi Triton utility reversed into the shop window causing extensive damage.
Police are still to talk to the store owners to ascertain what was stolen.
Fawkner police are appealing for information after a man was left with bruises, cuts and broken ribs when he was fleeced of his winnings in Glenroy last month.
The 68-year-old victim was outside a betting shop on Pascoe Vale Road when he was approached by a woman who asked him for money on Saturday 10 March about 5.50pm.
The man told the woman he didn’t give money to strangers before she snatched his recent winnings from his hand and fled.
He followed the woman down a mall and into Morgan Court where she jumped into a car, with a man and woman already inside.
In an attempt to get his money back the man struggled with the woman as the car reversed, hitting him and throwing him off the vehicle.
The car, which sped off and was bearing stolen plates, has been recovered by police.
Police are actively making enquiries into the identities of the man and woman who were already in the car however are appealing for information to identify the woman who stole the cash.
An image has been released of the woman who is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a medium build, dark brown hair and is believed aged in her 20s.
Police have arrested two youths following a fishy incident in Yarraville this evening.
Two females entered a fish and chip store on Somerville Road about 7pm before allegedly producing a knife and demanding cash.
A passer-by and good sea-maritan, who observed the incident, managed to follow the youths out of the store before alerting Triple Zero to their location.
A police officer who happened to be patrolling nearby caught the pair on Tuppen Street shortly after.
One of the youths was OC sprayed during the arrest.
The pair was reeled back to the police station, where they are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 29-year-old man following an armed robbery in Clyde over the weekend.
It is alleged the man armed with a knife, stole cash from the service station on Cranbourne-Berwick Road about 8.45pm.
The Boronia man has been charged with armed robbery, shop steal, commit an indictable offence whilst on bail and drug related offences.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
Police have arrested a woman after a taxi driver was stabbed in Lalor early this morning.
Police have been told a taxi was called to Sydney Crescent just after 2.30am.
It is alleged three female passengers got into the taxi and refused to pay the fare.
The driver, a 35-year-old Thomastown man sustained a stab wound to the back and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested a 21-year-old woman about 10.15am this morning at an address in Rosanna.
She was charged with intentionally cause injury and other assault charges.
The woman was remanded to appear at the Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on 22 March.
Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a ram raid at a business premises in Albanvale earlier this month.
It is believed a vehicle was driven into the front of the service station on Station Road, near Moorland Road, took place in the early hours of Monday 12 March.
Unknown offenders have stolen a number of items from the convenience store, including an amount of cigarettes.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who might have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an attempted armed robbery on a Burnside Heights café at the beginning of the month.
The incident occurred at the Tenterfield Road premises on Saturday 3 March just after 6pm.
Security footage shows two men arriving at the location in a stolen Nissan Maxima sedan.
One of the occupants, dressed in black with his face covered, gets out of the car and attempts to get into the café by using a hammer to smash the glass front door.
Unable to break the glass, the man gets back into the stolen vehicle and the pair flee the scene.
Investigators believe that the pair were also involved in a home invasion and an armed robbery which occurred on the previous night.
The home invasion happened in Kings Park where the Nissan Maxima and another car, a Holden Commodore, were stolen.
The stolen Commodore was then used in an armed robbery at a local hotel.
Investigators have released CCTV footage of the incident which they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.
Police are investigating a theft from a motor vehicle and subsequent petrol drive-off which took place last month.
An unknown male offender removed the number plates of a silver Holden parked in Rae Street, Hawthorn overnight on 23 January.
The next day, the stolen plates, XQW511, were attached to a silver Holden sedan at 7.20am in Kealba.
A man was seen putting petrol in the car before driving away from the Sunshine Avenue service station, without making payment.
Police have released images of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Police are investigating an armed robbery in Noble Park this morning.
It is believed a man, armed with a box cutter, approached the counter of a business address on Leonard Avenue about 8.50am.
He jumped the counter and grabbed the female store attendant, demanding cash from the till.
An amount of cash was grabbed from the till and the offender fled on foot towards Leonard Avenue.
The victim was uninjured.
The man is believed to be aged in his early 40s with short straight black hair and dark-coloured eyes.
He was wearing a black leather jacket, black pants and sneakers.

An unknown male offender smashed the window of a vehicle in Upton Street, Altona, about 12.55pm time on Thursday, 15 February.
The man stole cash before leaving in a white Ford Falcon Ute being driven by a second man.
The next day, about 3pm, a man driving the same vehicle filled up with petrol at a service station in Napier Street, Footscray, and left without making an attempt to pay.
