Police are investigating two armed robberies at service stations in Melbourne’s North East believed to have been committed by the same five offenders.

Investigators have been told the five men attended at a service station on the Greensborough Highway on Monday 23 November just after 6am in a stolen vehicle.

It’s believed four men, wearing baseball caps and bandanna’s covering their faces, entered the store while the fifth remained in the stolen Nissan Pulsar.

One of the men, armed with a hammer and another a pruning saw, threatened the attendant while attempting to force entry into the secure staff booth before entry was granted.

The offenders ransacked the cash till and cigarette cabinet before fleeing the store in the stolen sedan south along the Greensborough Highway.

Banyule Crime Investigation Unit detectives believe the same men are responsible for another armed robbery about 30 minutes later at a service station in Manningham Road, Templestowe Lower.

Detectives have released images of men they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.

Police are appealing for public assistance after a mail delivery driver had a knife held to his throat and his mail van stolen in Mill Park yesterday morning.

Investigators have been told that a woman approached the man in Apsley Court, after he made a delivery, held a knife to his throat and demanded his keys about 8.15am.

The woman allegedly threatened to kill the driver before driving off with the van and its contents.

A man driving a stolen red Commodore, with registration number WRF437, followed the van from the scene.

The delivery van was later recovered in Layton Court, Mill Park after a witness disturbed the man rummaging through the parcels while the woman remained in the stolen red Commodore.

The pair was startled and fled the scene in the stolen red Commodore.

Detectives are working to establish what may have been taken from the delivery van.

The victim was not physically injured.

Police have released an image of a similar Commodore in the hope it will assist the investigation.

The man is described as about 170cm tall, Caucasian in appearance with light brown curly hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured baseball cap, white t-shirt and long baggy shorts.

The woman is described as about 25 to 30-years-old, Caucasian in appearance with a thin build and blonde hair.

Police are investigating petrol drive-offs in Melton last month.

A man attended a High Street service station where he filled up a silver Hyundai with fuel on 10 and 15 October.

He has then driven off in the vehicle, displaying allegedly stolen number plates, without paying.

Investigators have released images of the vehicle and a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Police are investigating the theft of numerous items from a service station in Sunbury on 22 October.

Investigators believe a woman has driven to a service station on Gap Road just after 10pm and gained entry to the store.

The woman has then stolen cigarettes, phone chargers and numerous other items before leaving the store and driving off.

The vehicle is described as a four door sedan, possibly a Toyota Corolla or similar.

The woman was perceived to be Caucasian, approximately 25-30 years old, solid build with blonde hair.

She was wearing a hooded jumper with ‘Unit MX’ written on it and black pants.

Investigators have released images of a woman they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Police are investigating following a ram raid burglary in Epping on Sunday.

Investigators have been told a thief used a stolen Toyota Kluger to smash his way into a supermarket on McDonalds Road about 2.20am.

Once inside, the man entered the liquor section and kicked out the glass doors to a cabinet and stole about 10 bottles of alcohol before fleeing.

The blue-coloured Kluger had been reported stolen from Malvern East in April and was dumped in nearby Edgeware Court where police recovered it on Sunday afternoon.

Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and have released CCTV of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the incident.

He is described as Caucasian, aged in his 20s or 30s and about 173-178cm tall with a solid build.

He was wearing a black t-shirt, black tracksuit pants, a grey cap, runners and a black cloth covering his face at the time of the incident.

Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following three armed robberies at milk bars in the Geelong area last week.

Investigators believe that the same man is responsible for the three incidents.

The first armed robbery occurred at a milk bar in Detroit Crescent in Corio about 9am on Wednesday 21 October.

Police have been told that a man armed with a machete entered the store and threatened the attendant before stealing a large amount of cash.

He fled the scene and was last seen running north towards Dearbourn Parade.

The second armed robbery took place on Saturday 24 October about 1.30pm at a milk bar on McCurdy Road in Herne Hill.

It is believed a man armed with a knife demanded cash.

A small amount of cash was handed over and the bandit fled the scene.

He was last seen driving a red sedan from Matlock Street.

Police were called to the Herne Hill milk bar around 1.45pm this afternoon after it was robbed again by the same man who stole cigarettes.

No one was injured during the robberies.

The offender is described as about 175cm tall with a solid build and was wearing a peaked cap and dark jacket with red insert.

Detectives have released an image of a man that may assist with their enquiries.

Armed Crime Squad detectives believe the same men may be responsible for an attempted armed robbery in Ascot Vale and two armed robberies in Albert Park early this morning.

The first incident occurred around 3.25am at a convenience store in Epsom Road, Ascot Vale.

The attendant has reported to police that two men were standing at the locked entrance to the convenience store with their faces covered.

The attendant refused to let the men into the store and they are believed to have left in a dark coloured vehicle.

Two further armed robberies were reported to police in Albert Park, the first incident occurred around 3.50am at a service station in Ferrars Street and the second around 4am at a convenience store in Victoria Avenue.

In both of these robberies the two men have entered the shop area armed with long-arm firearms and threatened the attendants before fleeing with cigarettes and money.

Both men had their faces covered and are believed to have left the scene driving a black or dark coloured sedan.

The men are both described as Caucasian and of average height and build.

Detectives from Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Dandenong earlier this month.

It’s believed that a man was walking near a bottle shop on Foster Street about 3.15pm on Tuesday 6 October when another man struck him to the face from behind, rendering him unconscious.

The offender then allegedly removed the victims bum bag from his waist before entering the bottle shop to purchase alcohol.

He was last seen walking towards the Dandenong Railway Station.

Police have released images of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the incident.

Dandenong Embona Task Force detectives are appealing for public assistance after three businesses were robbed in a three week period last month.

The first incident was at a business on Herbert Street on 3 September about 7.40am.

A man entered the store and placed a bottle of alcohol on the counter before producing a knife from a blue shopping bag and demanding cash.

The staff member complied and the man fled on foot west toward Stud Road.

The second incident was at a business on Ross Street on 14 September about 8.15pm.

A man entered the store and placed a drink from the fridge on the counter before lifting up his top revealing a knife in his pants and demanding money.

The staff members retreated to the back of the store and the man helped himself to the till.

The third incident occurred at the same store on Ross Street on 17 September about 8.30pm.

On this occasion the man entered the store and approached the counter with a knife and pink shopping bag and demanded money.

The staff member complied before chasing the man down Ann Street toward Stud Road for approximately 100 meters.

No one was injured during the incidents but the same man is believed to be involved in each armed robbery.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian or Middle Eastern in appearance, aged in his late teens to early 20s, thin build, approximately 175cm tall and has a pointy nose.

Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Police have charged a 35-year-old woman following an alleged handbag theft at a Southbank restaurant in September.

The alleged theft took place at the restaurant about 8pm on 12 September.

The Cranbourne woman, who was with two young boys at the time of the alleged incident, was arrested in Dandenong this morning.

She has been charged with a number of theft and deception offences and will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court shortly.
