Crimes related to the Petrol Station industry

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Bray Park service station that occurred early this morning.

Around 3am, a white Toyota Camry station wagon was used to reverse into the front sliding doors of the Samsonvale Road business, causing the glass to shatter.

A man armed with a metal bar got out of the front passenger side of the vehicle, ran into the business, and yelled out to a male store attendant who had locked himself in a rear store room.

The man then went behind the counter and took two cash register drawers before getting back in the vehicle and fleeing the scene.

The vehicle was last seen heading north along Youngs Crossing Road heading towards Petrie.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Investitgations are continuing.

Two women have been charged following an alleged armed robbery attempt at a Slacks Creek service station early this morning.

It will be alleged around 12.20am two women entered the Paradise Road business before threatening a staff member with a knife

The employee retreated to a back office area while one of the women allegedly tried to open a cash register but was unsuccessful and the pair left the store.

A 30-year-old Inala woman and a 21-year-old Slacks Creek woman were charged with attempted armed robbery.

They will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at a BP Service Station at Rosewater early this morning. At about 2.55am, four males entered the Grand Junction Road store and confronted staff. Two of the suspects jumped the counter, assaulted a staff member and stole cash from the till. During the robbery a fifth male suspect was waiting outside. Police Dog Operations attended and searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. Police are investigating a robbery at Smithfield overnight. Just after 5am, a man and a woman entered the On The Run service station on Main North Road and threatened the console operator. The man was allegedly armed with a large kitchen knife. Both suspects left on foot with an amount of cash. The man is described as being aged in his 30’s, about 180cm tall with short dark hair. He was wearing dark shorts, a black top and a dark cap. The woman is described as being aged in her 30’s, about 170cm tall, slim build with long brown hair. She was wearing dark clothing. Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station in Sydney’s inner west this morning.

About 1.30am (Thursday 6 March 2014), a man entered the service station on Unwins Bridge Road and threatened the console operator with a machete.

The man demanded money before fleeing with cash. He was last seen walking north on Unwins Bridge Road.

Police were alerted and officers from Newtown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information about this incident to come forward.

The man is described as being of Mederranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his late teens or early 20s, with a chubby build, and black hair.

Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred this morning in Ipswich.

Around 1am, four men have approached a service station on Warwick Road and have motioned to the attendant to open the door.

The attendant didn’t open the door, and the men have then thrown a rock at the door and have then fled the scene and were last seen running towards Turley Street.

Investigations are continuing.

Police have charged a 19-year-old man following the armed robbery of a service station earlier this morning.

It will be alleged that around 4.30am a man entered a business on Ash Street armed with a running chainsaw and wearing a bucket on his head. He then made demands for money from the male attendant.

When the attendant didn’t comply, he left on-foot, allegedly causing damage to the store and a car parked in the carpark.

Police located him a short while later.

The 19-year-old Leichhardt man was charged with one count each of armed robbery, going armed so as to cause fear, public nuisance and unlawful possession of suspected stolen property. He was also charged with two counts of wilful damage.

He will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court this morning.

Two men have been charged over the alleged armed robbery of a service station in Deniliquin on the weekend.

About 8:40pm on Sunday 9 February 2014, two men entered the service station on Victoria Street and allegedly threatened the female attendant with a knife.

The pair allegedly demanded money and fled the scene with cash and cigarettes.

Police from Deniliquin Local Area Command have been investigating the robbery and yesterday released closed-circuit television images as part of an appeal for information.

About 11pm last night (Monday 10 February 2014), two men, aged 18 and 28, attended Deniliquin Police Station where they were arrested.

The men were charged with armed robbery and refused bail to appear in Deniliquin Local Court today (Tuesday 11 February 2014). Investigations into the matter are continuing.

Police have released images of two men they would like to speak to after an armed robbery at Deniliquin last night.

About 8.40pm (Sunday 9 February 2014), the 62-year-old female attendant, was at the counter of a service station on Victoria Street, when two men entered the shop.

One of the men approached the counter, grabbed the attendant’s shirt and threatened her with a knife, demanding cash.

The woman received minor cuts to her thumb and handed over a sum of cash.

The man grabbed cigarettes and the two men fled from the shop.

Police were contacted Deniliquin Local Area Command and specialist forensic officers attended commencing an investigation.

The woman was taken to Deniliquin Hospital for treatment to the cuts.

Police would like to speak to two men that may be able to assist with inquiries.

One of the men is described as Caucasian appearance, black hair, about 160cm tall, large build, wearing a white shirt with an emblem on the front.

The second man is described as Caucasian appearance wearing a red hooded jacket.

Police are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery at a service station in Mount Pritchard today (Saturday 8 February 2014).

About 2am, a man entered the shop on Elizabeth Street threatened the attendant, a 20-year-old man, with a firearm, demanding cash and cigarettes.

The attendant complied and handed over a sum of cash and cigarettes.

As the man ran from the shop he grabbed a few packets of condoms, before fleeing.

Officers from Cabramatta Local Area Command and specialist forensic services attended commencing an investigation.

The man was described to police as Caucasian appearance, aged mid 20’s, about 170cm tall, wearing a black long sleeved t-shirt, dark shorts, a black beanie and runners.
