A man will appear in court today after police charged him with an armed robbery at a Bankstown pharmacy in June.

About 5.30pm on Wednesday 28 June 2017, a man described as having a dark complexion, wearing a dark-coloured hooded jumper and armed with a screw driver threatened a female staff member at the West Terrace pharmacy.

A male staff member then confronted the man and suffered cuts to his face in a struggle, before the man fled on foot.

No items were stolen and the injured man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics.

Investigators from Bankstown Local Area Command have continued with their inquiries into the incident and about 3.30pm yesterday a 37-year-old man attended Bankstown Police Station where he was arrested.

The man was charged with aggravated assault with intent to rob causing wound.

He was refused bail and will appear at Bankstown Local Court today (Tuesday 24 October 2017).

Police have charged a man following the alleged attempted armed robbery of a chemist at Annerley on October 17.

It will be alleged at about 9.50pm, the man entered the Ipswich Road business and requested to purchase medication.

When a staff member requested a script from the man, it is alleged the man lifted his shirt to show a large kitchen knife and told staff he did not require a receipt.

It is further alleged the man left the store a short time later without taking any property when the staff member retreated to the rear of the store.

A 36-year-old Annerley man was charged with one count of attempted armed robbery whilst armed and appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 18. He is next due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on November 6.

Detectives are investigating following the armed robbery of a pharmacy in Mundingburra this afternoon.

At around 5pm a man entered the business on Ross River Road and produced a knife before demanding medication from a male staff member.

The staff member compiled with the man’s demands before the man fled the business on foot onto Ross River Road.

The male staff member was not physically injured during the robbery.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance.

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify three armed males who entered a pharmacy at Moree and took cash and prescription drugs before escaping.

About 1.45pm yesterday (Friday 15 September 2017), three masked males entered a pharmacy on Amaroo Drive.

The males, one of whom was armed with a knife, threatened the two female staff members.

The offenders took a quantity of cash and Fentatnyl patches from a safe.

The males then fled from the store in a vehicle stolen from one of the staff members.

Police from Barwon Local Area Command were contacted and established a crime scene at the location.

A witness told investigators that the stolen car was dumped nearby before the offenders escaped on foot.

The car was seized by police and will be forensically examined.

Two of the males are described as wearing black pants and black jumpers while the third male was wearing a black jumper and green camouflage pants.

Police have urged anyone with information about the robbery or suspicious activity in Amaroo Drive prior to the incident to come forward.

Police are appealing for public assistance after an attempted armed robbery at a Campsie pharmacy yesterday.

About 7.30pm (Monday 14 August 2017), a man armed with a knife entered a pharmacy on Beamish Street and threatened a female staff member, demanding money.

The man was confronted and questioned by two other female staff members, before leaving the store empty-handed.

As part of the inquiries, detectives would like to speak to a man who they believe can assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 170cm tall, of a large build, and with grey facial stubble.

The man was wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper, and dark grey tracksuit pants.

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Sunshine pharmacy on 4 August.

At about 9.15pm, a man armed with a knife entered the Devonshire Road store and demanded codeine pain relief tablets.

He threatened staff whilst making the demands before removing an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and fled towards the Sunshine railway station on Clarke Street.

The offender is described of African appearance, 170cm tall, thin build and wearingdark clothing including a black balaclava.

He was last seen carrying a black backpack and fleeing towards the Sunshine railway station on Clarke Street.

Police have released CCTV and an image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to the incident.

About 4.30pm (Tuesday 25 July 2017), a man entered a pharmacy on Waldron Road armed with two knives.

The man approached two female workers at the rear of the store and demanded cash.

One of the workers complied with demand before the man left the shop.

Police were alerted and officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

No one was injured in the incident.

Investigating officers would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as being in his 30’s and of Mediterranean / Middle Eastern appearance with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper over his head with a white logo on the front, black pants, and light coloured shoes.

Police have charged a man following an armed robbery that occurred last night in Aitkenvale.

Officers were called to a pharmacy on Ross River Road at 7.20pm following reports a man had entered the store allegedly armed with a knife.

It is further alleged that the man made threats and then fled the scene with a quantity of medication.

No one was injured as a result of the incident and a man was located by police a short time later.

A 47-year-old Aitkenvale man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and enter premises with intent.

He is due to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court this morning.

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at an Elizabeth East chemist this evening.

At 9.15pm on Wednesday 21 June a man entered the Spruance Road chemist wearing a mask and armed with a hammer. The man went behind the counter and attempted to steal medication but ran off when he was confronted by staff.

Patrols searched the area with the assistance of Police Dog Nero, who picked up a track that ended at Chillingworth Road, but the suspect could not be located.

The suspect is described as about 175-180cm tall with a thin build. He was wearing a mask, black hooded top with the hood covering his head, black pants and black shoes.
